Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive |
||||||||||||
Background The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) 2006 legislation aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic equipment on the environment, both during the products' lifetime and when they become waste. It sets criteria for the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment. Electrical and electronic waste is the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Around 1.8 million tonnes are generated every year. The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations aim to reduce the amount of this waste going to landfill and improve recovery and recycling rates. Compliance Frame Communications is fully compliant with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2006. As such we are a member of the compliance scheme (Scheme Approval Number WEE\MP3538PZ\SCH ), which handles our WEEE obligations on our behalf, and our Producer Registration Number is WEE/BH0749YY.
