10/100/1000Base-T and 1000Base-X interface testing supported in one compact, handheld, lightweight unit. An MSA compliant SFP interface supports field inter-changeable SFP transceivers operating at traditional telecom, but also CWDM and DWDM wavelengths. Independent and configurable Multi-streams with MPLS, Q-in-Q, tags truly characterize Triple Play service flows and routing, while MAC flooding is able to stress network devices simulating high traffic conditions.

Asymmetric RFC2544, RFC2544, Loopback, Network discovery, VLAN scan and Layer 1, 2, 3, 4 BERT are advanced and valuable capabilities to comprehensively assess the Ethernet network under test. Triple Play service verification is performed using the same advanced feature set integrated into all VePAL platforms, but the MX series is able to validate these applications at WAN and LAN interfaces and bit rates.
