Next Generation of Metro and Carrier Ethernet Testing
VeEX™ VePAL MX300 Metro Expert is the next generation of field equipment for Carrier Ethernet and Core Networks carrying data, voice and video.
10GE including optional dual 1GE and 10/100/1000 BaseT test ports are housed in the industry’s smallest Metro/Ethernet tester. A high capacity battery pack supports up to three hours of continuous operation at 10GE test interface.
The MX300 can be used in any
lighting condition thanks to a super bright, 7” TFT color LCD. Advanced Ethernet tests such as RFC2544, Layer 1 to 4 BERT, Throughput, multi-stream, Q-in-Q, MPLS, VLAN and MAC flooding are supported at all rates. Triple play testing and verification of VoIP, IPTV, FTP/Web throughput, and Web Browsing services are optional features.
Field, interchangeable, MSA compliant XFPs and SFPs of various wavelength and dynamic range combinations provide maximum flexibility.
Key Features

End-to-End Performance Testing
Irrespective of Ethernet service being installed, it is always necessary to verify that the network can carry out and cope with the allocated bandwidth required by the customer. Service Level Agreements (SLA) thus compel service providers to measure network throughput and other performance characteristics to ensure that bandwidth associated with different service types conform to customer expectations.

10GE DWDM-based Service Testing
• Perform Layer 1 Unframed BERT to verify the physical layer
• Perform Layer 2 BERT/Throughput test with valid Ethernet frames to verify end-to-end transport
• Verify end-to-end QoS parameters: throughput, frame loss, round trip delay, frame arrival delay, frame delay variation (jitter), out-of-sequence frames
