Aster 120 allows Tapping and filtering Ethernet links.  Aster 120 TAP Modules are available to suit all tapping requirements from Fast Ethernet up to 10 Gigabit.

FILTERING
By suppressing what does not need to be seen, Aster 120 optimize bandwidth and allows efficient network Monitoring.

Typical Filtering Criteria include:
• MAC (source, destination)
• IP (source, destination, range)
• VLAN ID

10G TAPPING
Aster 120 provides tapping for a 10G Trunk with Full Access 10G front monitoring.

10G FILTER BREAKOUT
In addition to 10G Tapping and 10G monitoring, Aster 120 provides 4x 1G front monitoring ports.   By suppressing what does not need to be seen, Aster 120 optimize bandwidth and allows efficient network Monitoring of 10G Trunks with 1G Tools.

MIRROR and External TAPs

Aster 120 combines the filtering functionalities with MIRROR Aggregation.

Aster 120 increases monitoring access to traffic from multiple MIRRORS or External TAPs.
