Most often return paths are now using QPSK or QAM-16. When a higher return path bit rate is needed, QAM64 or 128 is needed but QAM-64/128 but these technologies do not like noise at all, therefore, the plant must be qualified. The best way is to verify it by using the CX180 with CX120.
