generation of Core and Metro transport test equipment for Ethernet networks carrying voice, data, and video. The MLX300 is an intelligent 10GE loopback device available in a small wall-mount or 1U rack-mount configuration. Field interchangeable XFP transceivers support various wavelengths and power level requirements. Loopback control can be performed in-band or via the built-in 10/100baseT Ethernet port via internet connection. Paired with the MX300 handheld tester, the units is the industrys most cost effective solution for point to point Service Level Agreement (SLA) verification.

Specifications

The MLX300 is an intelligent 10GE loopback device that is the perfect companion to the MX300 10GE test set. Loopback control can be performed in-band or via the built-in 10/100baseT Ethernet port via an internet connection. The MLX300 paired with the MX300 handheld tester, is the industrys most cost effective solution for point to point Service Level Agreement (SLA) verification and end-to-end performance testing.

Loopback Modes
Two modes are available for looping back test traffic; layer 2, and layer 3 mode.For layer 2, all incoming unicast traffic is looped back with the MAC source and destination addresses swapped. For layer 3, all incoming unicast traffic is looped back with MAC and IP source
and destination addresses swapped.

The optional loopback-ready boot-up profile, allows for fast and easy setup of the MLX300 to begin testing as soon as the device is powered on. This convenient feature can be easily configured with the accompanying PC software, Reveal MLX.

VePal MLX300 10GE Intelligent Loopback Device

The VeEX" MX product series offer a complete test solution for Metro Ethernet network installation and maintenance. Powerful features such as symmetical and asymmetical RFC2544 conformance testing, Multiple independent stream generation, Stacked VLAN (Q-in-Q) and MPLS tagging, and Dual Port Traffic Generation/Analysis are available at 10GBase-R, 1000Base-X and 10/100/1000Base-T test interfaces. Fiber Channel testing at 1Gbps and 2Gbps rates is supported on selected models.
