Qosmotec Wireless Test Systems (2G/3G)

Qosmotec Wireless Lab Test System

Qosmotec provides solutions for the automation of laboratory, field and drive testing of wireless networks, including UMTS, EDGE, CDMA, GSM-R and GSM-BOS based on end-to-end testing.

Qosmotec's Lab Test System LTS is well suited for automatic load & stress testing, performance evaluation as well as function testing during system and integration test phases. Users can assemble test suites from predefined test scripts and save them in a database for repeated regression testing using a graphical test script editor. In addition to assessing voice and data services, LTS integrates 3rd party tools like protocol analysers and load generators for synchronous tests.

Highlights of LTS include video call test, unreferenced video quality assessment, a mobile reset solution, and GSM-ASCI tests (voice group calls, voice broadcast calls, eMLPP). Extensions for WiFi, WiMax and HSDPA are under development, as is voice quality evaluation.

Lab Test System Field Adaptation LTS-F is an adaptation of LTS employing GPS-fitted mobile probes, distributed in the field for automated network monitoring, coverage test, feature test, quality evaluation, and QoS benchmarking. A system equipped with a SIM multiplexer may additionally perform outbound and inbound roaming tests.

LTS-P provides automatic testing and air interface monitoring capabilities in a portable system and can be used as a drive test system.

LTS-F (Field Adaptation)

Do you know, how your customers perceive the quality of your network?
You can wait for the customers to complain or leave to competitors - or you can take their point of view and act proactively rather than react.

LTS-F takes the capabilities of Qosmotec's LTS system into the field. Fully compatible with LTS, LTS-F controls numerous mobiles installed in small probes that can be installed at fixed network locations, or mounted in vehi-cles. Their operation is fully remote-controlled from the LTS-F server in your O&M centre. This means, you can install the probes in distant net-work sites, vehicles of public transportation, broker fleets, and even abroad for out-bound roaming tests.

The probes can be contacted at any time via wired (ISDN, LAN) or wireless (GPRS, UMTS, WiFi) connection for test case upload or result download in near real-time. Mobile probes log their GPS coordinates and LTS-F shows you, where tests have passed or failed. LTS-F brings you closer to the customer, anywhere in the world.

LTS-F Supervises the Quality of the Live Network

LTS-P (Portable)

Do you have the permanent overview of your network services and network quality in cities as well as suburban areas?

For permanent supervision and systematic trouble-shooting by verification of
problems on-site, drive and walk tests are indispensable.

LTS-P provides automatic testing and air interface monitoring capabilities in a portable system, enabling you to execute test & measurement sessions anywhere at any time. Up to eight mobiles are controlled simultaneously to execute test cases in conjunction. The synchronous execution of tests with several mobiles in one system also allows benchmarking of different mobiles or networks.

The set of test features comprises all functional aspects, including a portable SIM server for inbound roaming tests, RF monitoring capabilities, and tracing on the Um/Uu layers 2 and 3 for GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS technology as well as for GSM-R applications.
